Welcome to The EC PC!

I consider myself “The Unexpected Tech” because I have no official training in technology. I’m a self-scholar at HTML and CSS, and other programs in digital graphics, but mainly I love to tweak with technology. I’m like a tinker belle of technology, because it is definitely one of my gifts!

(In all honesty, I would LOVE to take some time off from daily life and immerse myself in learning new technology and languages…things like javascript and HTML5, as well as Responsive Web Design. That would be a great little tech school for me! But since I don’t have that kind of time, I tweak and learn as I go.)

That said, when I first got my kindle fire hd* in March of this year, I was thrilled. Ecstatic. Elated. I loved this gadget, and couldn’t wait to discover what it was all about (besides reading ebooks)!

Well, very soon (and to my dismay) I discovered how limiting this device was, and decided to try to find apps that would accommodate my needs for writing, web browsing and photo, video, PDF, and other file organization. I also wanted a nice little handful of constructive games, so I searched those out too.

What I came up with, I found, was that -

1-I really needed a case and a little keyboard to go with my kindle so I could journal on my tablet.

I looked and found this one: Fintie Keyboard + Galaxy Case

fyi...this is the EXACT one that I got, and I LOVE it! )

It is awesome and I never looked back! Highly recommended.

2-I needed a journal app that would WORK like I wanted it to.

I spent hours of searching and testing a lot of different ones, and discovered a simple yet wonderful one called “Journal” which, to me, is the best by far, for me and my needs. Functions perfectly, no ads, no in-app purchasing. And it's FREE.

You can find Journal HERE.

3-Then other things came to mind that I began to have need for: a PDF reader, a browser (besides the “Silk” browser that comes with kindle), and other apps.

I will be going into all of that stuff here on this blog, and my mission for sharing my journey on this is so that—hopefully—you will be able to glean from my experience wisdom in your seeking, should you be desirous of something similar—to turn your kindle fire tablet into a mini-pc!
